This new system packs tray seal punnets and flow wrap products into all standard 600mm x 400mm and 300mm x 400mm retail crates. By using single pick the system can pack to any horizontal layer pattern and requires no accumulation which reduces footprint and make the machine flexible for future requirements. Empty crates enter the system and are packed whilst moving by 2 collaborative robots. Key to the development has been a focus on ensuring that there is no impact on quality to either product or packaging. This machine is part of an ongoing development to create a range of small footprint, flexible crate and case packers for tray seal, flow wrap and vertical form fill seal applications.
